Services now named Categories 

Available for: Vendor Management 

You may have noticed the renaming of ‘services’ to ‘categories’ across Vendor Management. We’ve now completed that rename, giving the term a clearer meaning and keeping the language consistent between the organisation and vendor Felix portals. 

This change laid the groundwork for further enhancements in this space, including the ability to add and remove categories on behalf of a vendor (see below).

Add and remove categories on behalf of a vendor 

Available for: Vendor Management 

Organisations can now manage categories on any vendor profile, not just Internally Managed Profiles. This gives procurement and compliance teams direct control over what each vendor is approved to supply. 

Users with the Manage Categories permission can now: 

• Add categories to a vendor profile: Add categories directly on a vendor’s behalf. 
• Trigger compliance requirements: If an added category comes with extra compliance requirements, such as additional questionnaire questions or documents, the vendor’s status moves to pending resubmission so the right checks are collected before approval. 
• Unlock vendor profiles: If the vendor is already approved or suspended, you can unlock their profile so they can answer the mandatory compliance questions or upload additional documentation. 
• Remove categories from a vendor profile: Removing a category only changes your organisation’s view of the vendor profile. It doesn’t affect any marketplace listings or the vendor’s relationships with other organisations. 

These updates give your team one permission-controlled place to keep each vendor’s approved categories accurate and compliant.

Categories lock once a vendor submits their application 

Available for: Vendor Management  

To keep vendor information reliable, a vendor’s categories are now locked once they submit their application. Previously, only the questionnaire and compliance documents were locked. 

This means that categories listed on a vendor’s profile can no longer be changed by any user. If an update is needed, a user with the Manage Categories permission can add or remove categories on a vendor’s behalf.

Increased maximum file size for RFQ uploads 

Available for: Sourcing 

We’ve introduced a new 2GB maximum file size (per file) for document uploads in RFQs, so that you can more efficiently transact documents with vendors in Felix. In addition to unlocking the ability to share large single files such as model files, it also makes it possible to share larger volumes of files and folders across less uploads.  

This new limit applies only to the RFQ feature in Felix, for both Organisation and vendor users.
