What's Changed: Managing Services

Vendors who need to manage the services listed on their Felix account can see what changed on the Services page. The Active column is replaced by Archive and Restore Service, Quick search and Show Filters (Organisation, Marketplace Status, Show Archived) are new (earlier help content described a Service Type dropdown, which had already gone), a Marketplace column lets you list a service on the Felix Vendor Marketplace, and the Organisation column lists organisations only. Explains the Add Services button on the Add Service page, the new application summary buttons and Read only badge, why services for an organisation are locked after you submit your application, the Manage Categories permission and the Categories Matched headings on RFQ responses, with links to the articles that describe each task now.

Overview

Felix has changed how you manage the services on your Felix account. The Services page now has Quick search, filters, a Marketplace column and an Archive option in place of the Active column, the Add Service page has a new button layout, and the services for an organisation lock after you submit your application to that organisation. This article lists what has changed, so that the names and screens you remember match what Felix shows now. The articles linked below describe how each task works now.

What Has Changed

The Services Page: Columns and Filters

Before	Now
An Active column let you switch a service between active and inactive with a checkbox.	The Active column has been replaced by the archive feature, to make clear what happens when a service was marked as inactive. All services that were previously marked as inactive are now archived and are hidden from the default list (see How to Archive and Restore a Service). To stop offering a service to all organisations that the service is associated with and/or to the Marketplace, select Archive in the More menu at the end of the row. Marking a service as inactive has always stopped the service matching RFQs, so that is not new. The Archive window now makes this clearer. Select Show Archived in Show Filters to see archived services, and use Restore Service to bring one back.
The Service Name / Category column showed your own service name in bold with the category underneath.	The Service column shows the same details. An archived service appears in grey with an Archived badge and does not link to the edit page. See Introducing Services.
Search: the Services page had no search box.	Search: a Quick search box and a Search button search your service names and categories. A clear icon empties the box. If your account has organisations, a dropdown beside the Quick search box offers Service (the default) and Organisation, so the same box can search organisation names. Vendors on the Felix Vendor Marketplace only do not see the Organisation dropdown. See Introducing Services.
Filters: the Services page had a Service Type dropdown.	Filters: Show Filters (the label changes to Hide Filters) opens these filters: Organisation: Any Organisation plus your organisations. Vendors on the Felix Vendor Marketplace with no organisations do not see this filter. Marketplace Status: Any Status shows all services, Enabled shows services listed on the Felix Vendor Marketplace, Disabled shows services that could be listed but are not (the Marketplace checkbox is not ticked), and Not Available shows services whose category cannot be listed on the Marketplace. See How to List a Service on the Felix Vendor Marketplace. Show Archived: a checkbox that includes archived services in the list. Click Apply Filters to filter the list or Reset Filters to clear the filters. See How to Archive and Restore a Service and How to List a Service on the Felix Vendor Marketplace.
Shows You currently have no Services. with an Add a service link when the list was empty.	When a search or filter is applied, Felix shows the number of results. If nothing matches, Felix shows No Services match your search or filters. with a Clear search and filters link. The message for an account with no services is unchanged.
The Terms value was a link and the Wet and Dry checkboxes could be ticked on a service row.	For an archived service, the Terms value is plain text (no Update Min Hire link) and the Wet and Dry checkboxes are greyed. Terms and Qty are otherwise unchanged, and Hire Type now shows N/A where wet and dry hire do not apply (it said Not Applicable before). See How to Archive and Restore a Service.

Archive and Restore

Before	Now
To stop offering a service, you cleared Active or used Delete, which is permanent.	Archive in the More menu opens the Archive [service name] window. Click Archive service to confirm, or Cancel. Felix shows [service name] Archived. An archived service is hidden from organisations, from RFQ matching and from the Felix Vendor Marketplace. See How to Archive and Restore a Service.
No way to bring back a service except ticking Active again or re-adding it if it was deleted.	Restore Service appears in the More menu on an archived row. Felix shows [service name] Restored and the service returns to your list. If the service was listed on the Felix Vendor Marketplace and your other Marketplace services have already reached your Felix Vendor Marketplace plan's limit of active services, Felix restores the service but does not put the service back on the Felix Vendor Marketplace, and tells you to archive another service to free up a place. See How to Archive and Restore a Service. Organisation services are not limited or counted towards your Felix Vendor Marketplace Subscription.
The More menu offered Edit, View Profile, Duplicate and Delete.	An active service offers Edit, View Profile, Duplicate, Delete and Archive. View Profile is for hire equipment on accounts on the Felix Vendor Marketplace, and Duplicate is for hire equipment only. An archived service offers only Restore Service and Delete, and cannot be changed until you restore the service. See How to Archive and Restore a Service and How to Edit a Service.
Delete opened the Delete Item window.	Delete is unchanged: the same window, still permanent, and still removes your standard rates for the organisations the window names. Delete is also available on archived services. See How to Remove a Service.

The Marketplace Column

Before	Now
The Organisation column listed your organisations and also listed Felix Vendor Marketplace for a service listed on the Marketplace.	The Organisation column lists organisations only, with a dash (-) when the service is on no organisation's panel, and your panels on hover. Felix Vendor Marketplace no longer appears in the column. If your account is on the Felix Vendor Marketplace only, the Organisation column is hidden. See Introducing Services.
No Marketplace column. You listed a service on the Felix Vendor Marketplace with the Felix Vendor Marketplace checkbox in Service Availability on the edit page.	A Marketplace column has an information icon whose hover text is headed Marketplace opportunities. Each row has a checkbox: tick it to list the service on the Felix Vendor Marketplace straight away, with no confirmation window, and clear it to remove the listing. The checkbox is greyed for an archived service. The Felix Vendor Marketplace checkbox in Service Availability still does the same job. Not applicable.	A dash (-) replaces the checkbox when your vendor account is not on the Felix Vendor Marketplace (all of your services show a dash), or when the service's category is one that Felix offers only to organisations (only services in those categories show a dash). The Add Service Page

Before	Now
The Add Services button was at the bottom of the Add Service page and Back was in the page header.	Add Services is in the page header at the top, beside Cancel, which replaces Back. Add Services stays greyed out until you tick at least one new service. The Add Service button on the Services page is where it was. See How to Add a Service.
Archived services were not marked in the list of categories.	A category you have archived shows an Archived badge. Hover over the badge for the Archived Service tooltip, which tells you to restore the service on the Services page before adding the category again. See How to Archive and Restore a Service and How to Add a Service.
Select Panel offered your panels.	Select Panel is unchanged. The dropdown offers Felix Vendor Marketplace only if your account is on the Marketplace, and your organisations' panels if you have organisations. See How to Add a Service.

Your Application Summary

Before	Now
Each section on the Application Summary page had an icon-only edit button and a green tick or red cross on the right.	Each section has a status icon on the left (a green tick or a grey circle) with a subtitle such as 1/4 Completed or 1/4 Pending. The buttons are labelled Edit, View and Complete (greyed out, with a tooltip, until the earlier sections are filled). A No access badge replaces the button when you do not have permission to view the section, and the tooltip explains what to do next.
The Submit Application button was at the bottom of the Application Summary page. Its tooltip gave a general message, such as Ready to submit your application?	The Submit Application button is in the same place. When the button is greyed out, the tooltip says Your application is not yet complete. Please finish all required steps before submitting. if sections are unfinished, or explains what to do next if you do not have permission to submit. See Submitting Your Application.
After you submitted your application, the Services step stayed open for editing.	After you submit your application to an organisation, the services for that organisation lock. The Services row on the summary shows a Read only badge with a lock icon and a View button in place of Edit. On the dashboard, the Services step for that organisation shows a lock icon.
You could tick or clear any panel, and delete any service, after submitting your application.	The lock applies to one organisation at a time. Your services for other organisations stay editable. Lock icons carry the tooltip Your services for this organisation are locked because your application has been submitted.
Not applicable.	The lock applies once you have submitted your application and the application is Pending Approval, Approved, Suspended or Not Proceeding. The services for an organisation stay open while your application is Invited, Declined or Pending Resubmission.
Not applicable.	An unlock from the organisation that covers everything, or the questionnaire and services, reopens the services for that organisation. An unlock for standard rates only does not reopen the services.
Not applicable.	When your application is Not Proceeding, the application summary shows a Read only badge with a lock icon and a View button in place of Edit on Panel Selection, Services, Questionnaire and Standard Rates.
Not applicable.	While the services for an organisation are locked, Delete is greyed out with a lock icon on a service that is on that organisation's panel. On the edit page, that organisation's panels are greyed out and keep their current setting when you save. On the Add Service page, picking that organisation's panel turns Add Services off and shows a lock message, so you cannot add services to that panel. Update All Services skips that organisation. Duplicate is still available, and the copy leaves out the locked organisation's panels. See How to Add a Service, How to Edit a Service and How to Remove a Service.

Your Account and Permissions

Before	Now
The vendor security group permission was Manage Services: allows the user to view and manage the service listing for the vendor.	The permission is Manage Categories: allows the user to view and manage the category listing for the vendor. The vendor app still uses the word Services on its screens.
On an RFQ response, item lists were headed Services Matched and Services Not Matched, the side navigation said Services, and the job details section was Matched Items. Item titles read "[category] - [the item title from the RFQ]" when the organisation gave the item a title.	The headings are Categories Matched and Categories Not Matched, the side navigation says Categories, and the job details section is Categories Matched. Item titles read "[the item title from the RFQ] - [category]", so the title that the organisation gave the item comes first.

What You Can Do Now

Task	How it works now
Learn how the Services page works	See Introducing Services.
Add a service	Click Add Service on the Services page, select a panel in Select Panel, tick the categories, and click Add Services in the page header. See How to Add a Service.
Edit a service	Open the More menu on the row and select Edit. An archived service must be restored first, and panels for an organisation with locked services cannot be changed. See How to Edit a Service.
Remove a service	Select Delete for a permanent removal, or Archive to hide the service and keep the option to restore it. See How to Remove a Service.
Archive or restore a service	Use Archive or Restore Service in the More menu, and Show Archived in Show Filters to find archived services. See How to Archive and Restore a Service.
List a service on the Felix Vendor Marketplace	Tick the checkbox in the Marketplace column. See How to List a Service on the Felix Vendor Marketplace.
