After requesting RFQ, RFA or a Variation approval - you can track the progress of the approval workflow. Felix also gives you the ability to send an email reminder to a user you are waiting on to provide their approval.

 

View approval progress

To view the progress of an approval workflow:

1. Navigate to Projects & Quotes > Requests for Quotation 
2. Hover over the ‌more icon beside the pending RFQ
3. Select Approval Overview
4. Click the View Workflow button

Send a reminder to approvers

To send a reminder to an approver:

1. Navigate to Projects & Quotes > Requests for Quotation
2. Hover over the ‌more icon beside the pending RFQ
3. Select Approval Overview
4. Click the View Workflow button
5. Click the Remind button next to the outstanding approver

 

NOTIFICATIONS: An email notification will be sent to the approver. Notifications can only be triggered once a day.

 

Raise awareness of options for senior approvers

Approvers on higher levels of a route within an approval workflow are able to approve on behalf of others lower than them in the route. When doing so they are prompted to input a comment for record keeping purposes. See this article for more detail.

 

NOTE: The ability to override lower level approvers applies only to the route the approver is in. Where there are multi-stage approvals, with multiple routes setup, the first route needs to be approved before subsequent ones.

 

Talk with your administrator if needed

Your organisation's Felix administrator may be able to step in and approve on behalf any user in any workflow, with the right permission. Should you get stuck with an approver on vacation (say), your administrator may be able to support here.
