From time to time, our Support team will ask you to take a screenshot if you are encountering a problem or error with Felix. This allows our Support team to easily take a look at the issue you're experiencing.

 

Microsoft Windows

To make taking screenshots simple, it is recommended that you use Microsoft's inbuilt Snipping Tool. This helps to avoid confusion with keyboard shortcuts, which can change slightly depending on which model laptop or device you are using.

1. Open the Start menu on your computer.
2. Navigate to All Applications > Windows Accessories.
3. Click on Snipping Tool.
4. Click on Mode and select Full-Screen Snip from the dropdown menu.

TIP: In older versions, click the Arrow next to the New button, then select Full-Screen Snip from the dropdown menu.

5. Click on the Save icon.
6. Send the screenshot to our Support team to have a look!

 

 

NOTE: The keyboard shortcut to take a screenshot is WIN + PrtScn. However, some laptops and devices might require a different combination such as WIN + Fn + PrtScn. If you use this shortcut your screenshot will be saved in the Pictures > Screenshots folder on your computer.

TIP: If you only want to capture a small section of the screen, you can use the Rectangular Snip option then click and drag over the area you want to capture.

 

Apple macOS

1. Press Shift + Command + 3 on your keyboard.
2. A small square may appear in the bottom right corner of your screen, this indicates that the screenshot has been captured and is now saved to your desktop.
3. Send the screenshot to our Support team to have a look!

 

TIP: If you only want to capture a small section of the screen, you can use Shift + Command + 4. This will turn your mouse cursor into a crosshair. Click and drag around the area you want to capture.
