What is the difference between "Search marketplace" and "Invite by email"?

Our Search marketplace feature allows you to search for and invite to your organisation vendors who already have accounts on Felix. If you're unable to locate the vendor you wish to invite using the marketplace search, you can use the Invite by email form to invite a brand new vendor contact to Felix.

 

What happens when I invite a new vendor to join Felix?

When a new vendor is invited to Felix we create a vendor and user account for their business using the email provided, and create a link between your organisation and their account allowing you to monitor their onboarding progress.

 

What happens when I invite an existing vendor to my organisation?

When an existing Felix vendor is invited to an organisation, we create a link between your organisation and their account allowing you to monitor their onboarding progress. The vendor is able to maintain a single account across all organisations they deal with in Felix, as well as any Marketplace lead generation activity they might take part in.

 

Can I invite multiple vendors using the same email?

User accounts on Felix require unique email addresses. Due to this, once a user is associated with a particular vendor account, it isn't possible to reuse their email address for another account.

 

What email do vendors receive when they're invited?

Vendors receive one of the following emails when invited to join your organisation in Felix:

 

1. They are a new vendor to Felix.

 

2. They are an existing vendor in Felix.

 

3. They are existing, have claimed an email domain as their own, and you tried to add a new contact to their account.

I'm unable to see the Invite Vendor button.

The ability to invite new vendors to Felix is controlled through the use of security groups and permissions. If you're unable to view the Invite Vendor button please reach out to your organisation administrator for assistance.

 

I'm unable to change a vendor's business name when I try to invite them.

If a vendor has previously registered on Felix they'll have chosen a business name for their account. In these cases, it isn't possible for the organisation to suggest a business name when inviting the vendor.

 

 

Error: This contact is already on an account in your vendor list.

In this scenario, your contact is both already in Felix and on a vendor account already in your vendor list. There is likely no need to invite them again.

 

 

 

Error: This email address is linked to an organisation account...

Users (email addresses) in Felix can (currently) only belong to either a Enterprise staff account, vendor account, or vendor & searcher account in the Felix Marketplace. Felix does not currently directly support an organisation staff user being invited as a vendor. 

 

 

Warning: One or more users with the same email domain are already...

If you've received this warning it's a good opportunity to stop and check that you aren't about to create another vendor account just for your contact. Please take a moment to review your existing vendor list. However, if you're certain you want to continue - you'll be able to send the invite by clicking the Send Invitation button.

 

 

 

Warning: This account was previously in your vendor list...

Organisations can remove vendors from their vendor list, for many reasons. This warning is a good reminder to reach out to your supply chain team for information on why this vendor was removed previously. Armed with this information, you can proceed to invite them again if needed.

 

 

 

Information: The account...is already on your list...They have claimed their email domain...

In this scenario, not only is the vendor already in your vendor list, they have claimed their email domain to ensure all future invites are routed to this central account. If you need a new contact to be able to access this account, you can use the provided "request to have..." link to suggest a new contact (user) at the vendor.
