A requested document is a document that vendors will need to submit as part of their RFQ response. Felix gives you the ability to specify which types of documents you wish to request from your vendors.

 

Add a new requested document type

To add a requested document type:

1. Navigate to Settings > RFQ Settings from the main menu.
2. Go to the Manage Requested Document Types section.
3. Click the Add Requested Document button at the top right corner.
4. Add a name for the requested document type in the field provided.
5. Click the Save button.

 

Change a requested document type's availability

To change a requested document type's availability:

1. Navigate to Settings > RFQ Settings from the main menu.
2. Go to the Manage Requested Document Types section.
3. Drag and drop the requested document type from the Unselected section to the Default section or Selected section.

Delete a requested document type

To delete a requested document type:

1. Navigate to Settings > RFQ Settings from the main menu.
2. Go to the Manage Requested Document Types section.
3. Locate the requested document type you wish to delete into the Unselected section by drag and drop.
4. Click the trash bin icon that appears next to the name of the requested document type.
5. Click the Yes button to confirm the deletion.

 

IMPORTANT: System requested document types may not be deleted by users. Requested document types which are actively in use by live RFQs cannot be deleted to prevent the loss of data.

 

Allow users to create requested document types

To allow users to create new requested document types during RFQ creation:

1. Navigate to Settings > RFQ Settings from the main menu.
2. Go to the Other Settings section.
3. Click the Allow users to create their own Requested Document Types during RFQ Creation checkbox.
4. Click the Update button.

 

TIP: When a requested document type is created by a user during RFQ creation, it will be classified as an Unselected availability type.
